Asian & American Art Foundation, located at 526 West 26th Street, Suite 211, New York, is pleased to present NEW GROUNDS, NEW VOICES: International Juried Art Competition & Exhibition, the Foundation's inaugural international juried exhibition in its new Chelsea gallery. Featuring thirteen artists selected through an international open call and independent juried review, the exhibition will be presented in two editions: Edition I, on view July 2–18, 2026, with an opening reception on Thursday, July 2, from 6 – 8 PM; and Edition II, on view August 1–15, 2026, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 1, from 2 – 4 PM.

Organized to celebrate the opening of the Foundation's new exhibition space, the project invited artists from around the world to submit recent work through an international open call. The exhibition provides selected artists with the opportunity to present their work in New York's Chelsea Gallery District while introducing new perspectives to the Foundation's exhibition program.

The title NEW GROUNDS, NEW VOICES reflects the Foundation's commitment to supporting artists whose work demonstrates originality, thoughtful inquiry, and a distinctive artistic voice. Rather than emphasizing career stage or exhibition history, the competition focused on the quality of each submission, artistic vision, and conceptual clarity.

Submissions were reviewed by an independent exhibition committee composed of museum professionals, curators, artists, critics, scholars, and arts administrators. Following a competitive review process, thirteen artists were selected to participate across two exhibition editions.

As the Foundation's first international juried exhibition in Chelsea, NEW GROUNDS, NEW VOICES establishes an annual exhibition platform dedicated to presenting contemporary artists through an open and professionally reviewed selection process.

Presented in two consecutive editions, NEW GROUNDS, NEW VOICES marks the beginning of the Foundation's annual international juried exhibition program. Through an open call and an independent review process, the exhibition brings together artists working across a range of contemporary practices while expanding professional exhibition opportunities in New York.
